Tatakai v2.4.8 & CoD: World at War Patch 1.5

Hi Andy

Hope you have been keeping well, and that you are continuing to enjoy your gaming in a more casual atmosphere these days

After several years of using Tatakai, it is still our server moderation tool of choice as it is very effective and easy for our new server moderators to use.

We have just updated our CoD:w@w servers to v1.5 and have noticed that TSS can no longer retrieve the server info. It seems to be hanging on serverinfo and not proceeding because it's not receiving a response from the server? Is it an issue that we have server side? or has the latest CoD:w@w update again brought us some new surprises to work with, lol?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

I rarely get time to game these days

It's probably the new patch. I'll take a look this week. I don't suppose you could give me an RKF to query your server by chance? I don't have WaW server I can query. PM the info if you are happy to do so. I won't need to make any changes just need something to test against.

Hi Guys

I have the same issue with my WAW servers, after patch 1.5 they changed some punkbuster dll's and we lost the ability to use server scan and 1 other piece of monitoring software we had been using. If it s I can setup a small waw server on our clans dedicated server and give you the login details?

Thanks for the compliments. If you could set-up a small server for me that would be wonderful. I wouldn't need it for long but as I don't have one to test with it makes it somewhat difficult. PM me the details. If you can get it running for me this afternoon I will look into this prob and fix a few other bugs I have been told about either this evening or tomorrow.

Thanks Flatsix. So I've had a look at this problem and it would appear that the developer has changed the rcon protocol in someway. It would appear that you have to contact the server via tcp initially and then you can use udp. I'm trying to decipher the packet info. It would be nice if they told everyone how to formulate the queries, it would make it so much easier. Anyway if I get anywhere I will let you know guys. Ta
